The sight of the Evisu's iconic seagull logo has an almost pavlovian effect on us; we’re at our first school disco in jeans so baggy we can barely walk. We’re queuing for phone credit at the corner shop. We're plying on the Juicy Tube and chugging back the Sunny D. You get the idea.
So when we saw Evisu's AW15 collection we got to thinking. Why is every girl in London not wearing this stuff? Does she know she doesn't have to trawl eBay to get her hands on it? Evisu invited us to view the whole collection and do it over the Babyface way. We obliged.
Using real girls from our circle, as well as Babyface photographer Leonn Ward, we produced a full-editorial and video to promote the collection. Again we saw coverage from ASOS; Dazed and i-D. Subsequently Urban Outfitters are now stockists.
Modelling the collection is, party-thrower, Lotte Andersen, founders of Keash Braids Taiba Akhuetie and Jessy Linton, set-designer Dora Miller, photographer Lily Bertrand-Webb, Illustrated People’s Creative Director Pheobe-Lettice, model and journalist Naomi Shimada and singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama and is styled with Swedish Hasbeens and berets by yours truly.
