At only 21 years old, this Stratford-via-Bangladesh raised hustler has big plans. Last year saw the launch of her own PR Agency Pressd with some of her first clients including Da$h & Retch (the New York based rappers affiliated with the A$AP mob) and Isaac Danquah. Continuing to rack up a host of impressive brands and artists promising to blow up in 2014, Shama is starting to make moves in the fashion world all under the Pressd PR banner. For now, you can catch Pressd at Box Park. Here, Shama has been working with menswear label Keep Up, who have just launched their own gold grillz order service; so now you can put your money where your mouth is.
More accustomed to shooting grills than donning them, Shama's most extensive work is from behind the lens. Beginning as a club photographer, documenting the London and New York Trap scene, Shama captured a movement in its youth, at it’s rawest and most excitable. We knew Shama was one smart cookie when we discovered her first photography exhibition, ‘Boyz boyz boyz’ was based on the premise of documenting the lives of male models. This involved hanging out with Willy Cartier. In New York. In Summertime. Occasionally topless. Ok maybe we’re just getting carried away. Whatever. Willy Cartier. That would have been enough for us but Shama’s images went viral racking up a tasty near 160,000 reposts. Fully fledged Instagram star and Twitter princess you best get used to this face, as you’ll be seeing much, much more of it.
