Hayley Louisa Brown probably has holiday snaps that make the Polaroids you took at Dekmental look like beer mats. Her photography is hazy ode to the glamour and heat of America in the late 1950s; hot-rods and hotdogs, greasers and greasy food, this is the stuff of Brown’s world. The content however, is a little more 2014. Hayley shoots for everyone from Asos to Adidas from Nasir Mazhar to Nike. Her Americana aesthetic skewers her very varied CV. She also cites the contractual clause whereby as part of her job, she is obliged to photograph lots of 'good lookin’ men'. Hayley if you need any kind of assistance, on the weekend, unpaid (willing to work the Christmas holidays) just let us know.

In all seriousness, Hayley's lens extends beyond fashion and she's photographed heavy weight hip hop superstars Wu Tang, Nas, ASAP and Flocka. Oh, and Pharell. But who's counting? (That's five, we repeat, five, of the biggest hip-hop superstars in the music industry today).

It's evident that's Hayley has a keen-eye from the proliferation of clothes porn filling up her Instagram feed. We're talking onehundo percent baller get ups; YSL, Chanel, Ashley Williams…gurl can get a look together. Hayley recently lectured at the Converse projects space in Peckham, but if you missed her talk and you're keen to hear more from her there's good news. Hayley’s latest project in the pipeline is a collaboration with her friend and hip-hop journalist Grant Brydon. Keep. Eyes. Peeled.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU DO:I am a photographer and hip-hop enthusiast from the countryside. I live in London, spend most of my money on film and take pictures of rappers and good looking fellas in general. WHEN ARE YOU HAPPIEST?When I'm with people I love. Easily pleased. FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT/SHOP/HANG OUT?Mildred's in Soho is great, probably the only vegetarian restaurant you can take a proper carnivore too and ensure they get fed properly because the portion sizes are massive. Also they do the most wonderful peanut butter chocolate brownie of all time. I love a good department store, Harrods, Selfridges and Liberty are all worryingly easy to lose half a day in, I also can't deny my love for Ikea. Museums are probably my favourite places to be, The V&A is so calming and lovely and The British Museum has the best light in the world, the ceiling is magical. WHAT’S YOUR BEST ADVICE?To keep looking forward, not sideways! Comparing yourself to other people is one of the most self destructive things you can do to yourself and it takes up so much space in your mind that you should be using for much better things.WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?Be kind.WHAT WORDS OR PHRASES DO YOU MOST OVERUSE?I say 'sorry' far too often, and I say 'I love you' a lot because I think it's a good thing to tell people as often as possible.SONG TO BE PLAYING AS YOU ENTER THE CLUB?I Wanna Be Your Lover by Prince. WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD BE ON YOUR RIDER?Bananas, Whole Earth 3 Nut Butter and Cacao Nibs, aka the greatest snack of all time. WHAT'S NEXT?A lot of things! Currently working on a project with my amazing friend Grant Brydon (who I'd definitely recommend as your next BabyFace girl if he wasn't a boy because he's amazing!) that I can't really talk about til the Autumn, but it'll be coming soon. And of course, taking photos! AND FINALLY...WHO IS YOUR NEXT BABYFACE GIRL SUGGESTION?Who: Bea Sweet.
Why: Because she's bad ass.
